Mega the red-capped mangabey

Mandrills are currently classified as vulnerable by the IUCN and are threatened by deforestation and the bushmeat trade. Visit the 'Take action' section of our site to see how you can support us in protecting Cameroon's apes and monkeys.

Red-capped mangabeys are very vocal monkeys, and this sadly makes it easy for poachers to locate them in the forest. They are threatened by both deforestation and hunting, and this once common species is now classified as endangered.

Find out how you can help us to protect orphans of the bushmeat trade and to continue our education programmes in Cameroon by visiting this page. 💚
