Sonny and Pollyanna

Sonny, a spot-nosed guenon, and Pollyanna, a moustached guenon, were both rescued from the pet trade after their mothers were killed for bushmeat. The two orphans have a strong bond and, as well as playing together, they rely on each other for some of the comfort that baby monkeys would normally receive from their mothers. Since their arrival at Ape Action Africa, Sonny and Pollyanna have been making good progress, and they will soon be introduced to Beau, another orphaned moustached monkey. We're very hopeful that they will quickly become firm friends. Look out for an update soon.

Please note that monkeys are wild animals and should never be kept as pets.
