Adventurous things to do

  • Abseil for the Apes! Whether it's down the side of your local hospital or the side of British Airway’s i360 tower in Brighton, you’re sure to get a high level of support.

  • Bungee for our Babies! Whether you do it alone or with a group, your bravery is sure to be rewarded!

  • Why not kick a habit you want to give up while raising much-needed funds for our orphans? Get your family, friends, and colleagues to sponsor you to quit smoking, lose weight, or simply cutting down on the If your habit is costly, why not donate the money you save? Or if your habit causes more frustration to others than yourself, why not have people sponsor you? Over the years, our supporters have raised money by giving up things like crisps, television, alcohol, chocolate, meat, and smoking.

  • Crochet/Knit/Sew - Why not use your needle skills to raise money for our orphans? Decide what you'd like to make and then sell your unique items using an online site or set up a stall at a local market! Set up a Facebook page, put it on your Instagram Stories, tweet about it to raise awareness of your fundraising, or create your masterpiece while sitting somewhere that will generate interest, such as on the top of the Eiffel Tower or while abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower!

  • Take up running... or jogging... or walking!! Before you skip and read onto the next idea, remember running doesn't have to mean a marathon! ! In the past, our Allies have raised money by running (or slowly jogging or walking!) journeys from 1 to 1000 miles. If you're not sure if running is your thing, then get inspired by reading about some of our Director Rachel’s past success stories!

  • Skydiving - Despite the obvious fear factor, skydives are one of the most popular fundraising activities, so join your fellow fundraisers and start organising your skydive today.

  • Zip Wire - Adrenaline junkie or willing to face a fear? There are zip wires up and down the country, and all offer a different experience. Do your research and find the challenge that is right for you (and most likely encourage friends to sponsor you!).

  • It's a classic charity fundraising technique that provides an interesting insight into how much your friends are willing to pay to watch you go through pain! A packet of wax strips (and maybe some tea tree) is all you need to raise money with a wax off!
